Target Students: Secondary 1 to Secondary 4 students who are in Higher Chinese, Integrated Programme (IP) students, or Express stream students capable of or aspiring to join the Higher Chinese stream

S1–S3: 2.5 hours per session
S4: 3 hours per session

Secondary 1–4 Higher Chinese Course

This progressive Higher Chinese course series is designed to build and strengthen students’ proficiency in all key aspects of the language, preparing them for academic success from secondary entry through to O-level examinations.

S1 focuses on establishing essential language skills and a strong foundation for Higher Chinese, helping students transition smoothly into upper secondary learning.

S2 deepens language mastery by tackling more complex texts, refining composition and comprehension skills, and expanding advanced vocabulary to prepare for end-of-year assessments and upper secondary demands.

S3 bridges foundation and mastery by developing clarity in writing, in-depth reading skills, and confident critical thinking, preparing students for the O-level Higher Chinese exam.

S4 offers extended lessons focused on advanced language skills, exam techniques, and critical analysis of complex texts to ensure students are fully equipped to excel in the O-level Higher Chinese examination and beyond.

This structured approach ensures students progressively enhance their fluency, accuracy, and higher-order thinking skills needed for academic excellence.

i have been in hua sheng for 6 years. the teachers in hua sheng have shaped me and helped me with my chinese learning. they have taught me different techniques on how to approach these different questions. all of my teachers have been kind to me and have always been willing to help me when i am unable to answer some questions. i have 2 hua sheng lessons per week. one is ACE, and the other is CCW. my ACE teacher has taught me the different ways and types of questions that could possibly come out in the exams. my CCW teacher has taught me how to improve on my composition writing and she has also taught me different 好词好句 for me to write in my composition. overall, i really enjoy going to hua sheng and would recommend my friends to sign up.

My kids have been attending lessons here since young and the teachers always displayed positive attitude and genuine interest in the kids' learning. Special thanks to Ms Zheng YW and Ms ZiYuan who taught them this year. They provide timely feedback and balance discipline with patient guidance. We have only been a part of Huasheng for 1.5 term and in this short period, the end-of-year oral exam for P5 arrived. With the professional support from the school and Teacher Yang, my son surprisingly achieved a score of 48/50 in the oral exam, which amazed and delighted us. We are deeply grateful for the teacher's patient guidance and teaching methods. We hope my son will continue to work even harder in the future. The school's overall management is highly professional, the teachers are skilled, and the teaching approach is fresh and humorous, which our child truly enjoys.

Previously, my little boy lack of interest in learning Chinese. But after learning in Hua Sheng, he start to talk Chinese with me, and take initiative reading story for me. Laoshi always give feedback to me about how to improve his foundation. Laoshi is really gentle and supportive. Although learning Chinese is not easy job, I believe my boy will build a strong foundation here
