We are pleased to announce that the 2024 GCE O-Level examination results have been released. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our Secondary 4 students who sat for the examination.

This year, our students have once again demonstrated commendable performance in the Higher Chinese Language paper. Many achieved A1 and A2, reflecting not only their strong grasp of the language but also their consistent effort, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.

We are extremely proud of our students’ achievements and the dedication shown by our Chinese Language Department in preparing them for success. Their support and guidance, combined with the students’ hard work and the encouragement from parents, have contributed to these positive outcomes.

Once again, congratulations to all students on your achievements in the 2024 O-Level Chinese examination! May this be the beginning of even greater accomplishments in your educational journey.

FAQs about Chinese Tuition Centre in Singapore

1. What ages or levels do you teach at Choice Hua Sheng?

We offer programmes from pre-school (N2) to Secondary 4 (O-Level). Our Chinese classes for preschoolers are designed to build early language confidence, while our primary and secondary Chinese tuition classes strengthen vocabulary, comprehension, writing skills, and exam readiness.

Our curriculum goes beyond drill-based learning and memorisation, which many traditional tuition approaches rely on. Instead, we focus on developing critical thinking, confidence, and intrinsic motivation, nurturing a deeper appreciation for the language.

Our primary Chinese tuition programmes include small-group lessons, scaffolded writing practice, vocabulary development, and targeted exam techniques aligned with MOE standards.

At Choice Hua Sheng, we set individual learning goals and adjust lesson difficulty based on each student’s pace. This ensures that our Chinese tuition supports both struggling learners and higher-ability students without a one-size-fits-all approach.

If your child is just beginning their Chinese language tuition, it is usually helpful to start with a programme that focuses on building confidence in listening, speaking, and basic character recognition. Younger learners may benefit from a structured Chinese enrichment class for preschool, where lessons introduce Mandarin through stories, songs, and guided interaction. This approach helps children develop familiarity with the language before moving into more academic learning.

Class sizes are kept intentionally small so that teachers can observe each student’s learning pace and provide closer guidance. Our Chinese tuition classes for preschool and primary school consist of smaller groups that allow teachers to support pronunciation, reading, and writing skills more effectively. This environment also encourages students to participate actively, ask questions, and practise speaking Mandarin with greater confidence.

Many parents prefer to understand the learning approach before committing to regular classes. Trial lessons may be available so that students can experience the teaching style, classroom environment, and lesson structure first-hand. This also allows parents to see whether the programme suits their child’s learning needs, whether they are exploring foundational classes or preparing for exams through PSLE Chinese tuition.
